Itinerary

Day 1 Ho Chi Minh City: Arrival and city tour

Time to kick start your trip to Vietnam
On your arrival at Ho Chi Minh City, you will be met by a representative of the tour agent, and transferred to your hotel as per your 12 days in Vietnam and Cambodia itinerary. Once there, check in and relax for a while, before leaving for a short city tour. Towards the afternoon, you will be taken for the tour wherein you cover all the major attractions such as the Old Saigon post office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Opera House, Dong Khoi Street and the famous Ben Thanh market.
Return to the hotel for the night.

Day 2Ho Chi Minh City: Mekong Delta Excursion

Some of the best attractions of Ho Chi Minh City await your exploration
Enjoy a splendid breakfast at the hotel, before leaving for a visit to Mekong Delta, coupled with a cruise on the Ben Tre River, perfect for family selfies. You also get to spend some time at a local orchard, where you get to taste some exotic seasonal fruits. Next, pay a visit to the coconut candy workshop, and pick up a few handy tips to make your own. You will also get to enjoy a horse-cart ride, followed by a Sampan Cruise on the My Tho Canals. The boat will take you to a restaurant on stilts, on Turtle Island for a delicious lunch, on day 2 of your Vietnam holidays with kids.

Day 3Da Nang: Arrival and city tour

Today, you get to visit Da Nang, so after a hearty breakfast, it is time to check out of the hotel and transfer to your next destination. En-route you can enjoy some sightseeing, with a stop at the Cham Museum, which is home to several sculptures from the ancient Champa Kingdom.
The tour will be wrapped up at around late afternoon, after which you can be on your way to the hotel, as part of your Vietnam and Cambodia tour package. On arrival, check in and relax, and enjoy some leisure time. Have dinner at a local restaurant, before returning to the hotel for the night.

Day 5Hanoi: Arrival and optional activities

After a lovely breakfast at your hotel in Da Nang, it is time to head over to Hanoi, the colonial capital of Vietnam. The city is famed for taking inspirations from various cultures and architectural styles, such as the Oriental temples and Pagodas, French-inspired buildings and distinctively European-looking lakes. Explore it fully when on this 12 days in Vietnam package. Check into your hotel on arrival, and relax for some time.
You and your family have the option to take a cyclo ride, which will take you around the Old Quarter, followed by a lovely dinner at a restaurant in the French Quarter. The day ends with an immensely enjoyable, especially for the kids, traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Return to the hotel for the night.

Day 6Hanoi: City tour

A great city tour has been planned for you today, as per your Vietnam itinerary so after a lovely breakfast you can leave for the sightseeing. Visit places such as the One Pillar Pagoda, the President Palace and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, before stopping at the first University of Vietnam, the Temple of Literature. Next on your itinerary is the Tran Quoc Pagoda, which was established in the 10th century, and is one of the oldest pagodas in the city.
After wrapping up this part of the tour, you will be taken to an Indian or local restaurant for a delectable lunch. After lunch, your next stop would be the Hoa Lo prison museum, followed by a unique water puppet show, most delightful for the younger family members.
Return to the hotel for another night of relaxation.

Day 7Hanoi: Trip to Halong Bay

After a most delectable breakfast, leave for a tour of Halong Bay City, where a most refreshing cruise awaits your family and you. On arrival, you will be met by another representative of the tour agent, who will transfer you to the hotel. Check in and take a breather, before leaving for a short sightseeing tour towards the afternoon.
Pay a visit to the Floating Village, and enjoy a cruise on the traditional wooden boats on the Tonle Sap Lake. On the cruise you get to take a look at the huge fish traps, the houses on stilts and how the locals spend their days.

Stop for lunch, and pay a visit to Chaosay Tevoda, Ta Keo and Thommanan temples, followed by a stop at the Bakheng Hill, from where you can watch one of the most beautiful sunsets of your lives. On arrival at Phnom Penh, make a stop at one of the local restaurants for lunch. After lunch, start your sightseeing spree, with a visit to the Royal Palace, where the Royal Family still lives. Next stop is the Killing Fields of Choeng Ek, where almost 17,000 prisoners were detained and executed.
